A ladybird

Grateful Crane
Long long ago, there lived a bamboo-worker in a village.
One day he went to a bamboo forest to cut bamboos, when he had his name called from somewhere.
“Mr. Boy. Mr. Boy.”
“Who are you? Who is calling me? Where are you?”
“I’m here. I’m here. Mr. Boy. I’m here in a bamboo.”
He found a bamboo shaking in the forest and cut it to find a little colorful ladybird coming out of it.
“Thank you very much, Mr. Boy.” said the ladybird.
“Why are you here in a bamboo?” asked the boy.
“In ancient time, I was punished for destroying nature by God and closed in this bamboo.”
“How old are you? What are you going to do from now?”
“I’m 145 years old and I’m going to come home in the forest. Before coming home, I would like to repay your obligation for helping me. Mr.Boy. please tell me what you want.”
“Do you repay your obligation?”
“Yes, I do.”
“Well, I am so poor and I have never been to a Capital. But I want to be Samurai(Japanese old soldier) in Kyoto.”
On saying so, he found himself to be a Samurai.
The ladybird vanished in a moment.
